Ritual
The Ritual/Religious Practices Committee is designed to facilitate the implementation or inception of any religious
"practice" or "creation" that comes before the Tzibor.
The Rabbi of the Synagogue is a de facto member of the Committee and, as such, rules on the Hallachic viability or
propriety of a given practice or creation. The Rabbi will also state if something, even though it might be
Hallachically viable, is desirable. If it, indeed, is found to be "viable" as well as "desirable", than the Committee
will seek to promote the change in the Kehilla so as many members as possible will, at the very least, have some
idea as to what is transpiring.
The Committee can also be a vehicle to bring "change" proposals from members of the Tzibor to an evaluation process
whereby all proposals are given proper consideration. The Committee is comparatively new in the lexicon of Shul
committees; it consists of three or four general members of the Tzibor, plus the Rabbi functioning in the role
as previously defined.
