About Emek Beracha
Founded in 1975, Congregation Emek Beracha (formerly known as the Palo Alto Orthodox Minyan) is changing the South Bay! Silicon Valley is exploding with opportunity and is attracting Jews from all over the world. Because of the massive influx, our shul is continuously growing and therefore taking steps to spearhead the creation of a strong, thriving Jewish community.
Many wonderful people have become part of our community over the years, and those who have moved elsewhere still like to keep in touch and to hear what's going on in this part of the world. That is why we have created a mailing list to which hundreds of members worldwide subscribe.
The name “Emek Beracha” derives from a verse in Divrei HaYamim (Chronicles II, 20:26), in which the kingdom of Yehuda gathers in a valley of blessing (Emek Beracha), so called because “there they blessed Hashem.”
